Invariant quality indicators of asynchronous machines that are common to most technical objects are listed. An review of the development of induction motor series has been carried out, with the periods of development being compared with the eras of technological revolutions in the technosphere. Principles for designing an active parts of highly energy-efficient asynchronous motors are formulated, narrowing the search space and, thereby, facilitating the solution of a multiobject, multicriterion optimization problem. Based on a computational analysis, a criteria for selecting blank diameters for low-voltage asynchronous motors of medium power are proposed depending on the energy-efficiency class, number of poles, power matching and rotation height.
