Abstrakt: A recent report from Texas Southern University discusses the use of metal sulfide-based Mxene nanocomposites in various applications. These nanocomposites, which consist of two-dimensional transition-metal carbides, nitrides, and carbonitrides, have shown promise in enhancing the properties of functional materials. The integration of metal sulfide nanostructures with Mxene nanosheets has been found to be an effective technique for modifying surface chemistry and improving physical and chemical characteristics. The review highlights the potential of these nanocomposites in environmental remediation, energy storage, gas sensing, and photothermal therapy, while also discussing the challenges and future prospects associated with their development.
