Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of California Davis focused on the treatment of femur fractures in burn patients. The study found that early internal fixation of fractures within 48 hours of injury resulted in more favorable outcomes, with 60% of fractures achieving predicted union. In contrast, fractures treated after 48 hours had a lower success rate of 25% and all patients experienced significant systemic complications. This study represents the largest series of femur fractures in burn patients reported to date. For more information, the full research article can be accessed for free through the provided link.
