Researchers from Tarbiat Modares University in Tehran, Iran have developed a new hybrid method for cancer detection using microRNAs (miRNAs). The method combines particle swarm optimization (PSO) and artificial neural networks (ANNs) to identify the most relevant miRNAs for various types of cancer. The researchers found that their approach demonstrated higher precision in identifying cancer-associated miRNAs compared to existing methods. This method has the potential to improve cancer diagnosis accuracy and aid in the development of personalized cancer treatments. [Extracted from the article] |
