A recent study conducted at Hassan First University of Settat in Morocco examined the relationship between restless legs syndrome (RLS), mental status, and sleep disorders among Moroccan pregnant women in their third trimester. The study found that RLS was prevalent in 59.5% of the participants, with a higher occurrence in the ninth month of pregnancy. Women with RLS experienced higher levels of anxiety and sleep impairment compared to those without RLS. The researchers suggest that early diagnosis and prevention of RLS could lead to better health outcomes and conditions during pregnancy. [Extracted from the article] |
