A recent study conducted at the Cleveland Clinic explored the use of magnetocardiography (MCG) as a diagnostic tool for myocardial ischemia in emergency department patients with suspected acute coronary syndrome (sACS). The study compared the sensitivity and specificity of MCG to standard of care (SOC) stress testing in diagnosing myocardial ischemia. The results showed that MCG had similar sensitivity but lower specificity compared to non-invasive stress testing. Additionally, MCG had a shorter time to test and higher patient satisfaction scores. This research provides valuable insights into the potential use of MCG in diagnosing myocardial ischemia. [Extracted from the article] |
