Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at Safarik University in Kosice, Slovakia explored the use of hepatocyte transplantation as a potential treatment for liver failure. The study involved laboratory rats that were divided into different groups, including healthy rats, rats with liver damage, and rats that underwent liver resection. Hepatocytes, which are responsible for metabolic processes in the liver, were transplanted into the rats with liver damage. The researchers observed significant changes in laboratory levels and weight in the experimental animals after the transplantation of hepatocytes, indicating the function of the transplanted cells. This research provides valuable insights into the potential use of hepatocyte transplantation as a treatment method for liver failure. [Extracted from the article]
