Abstrakt: | A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Zaragoza in Spain explored the effects of dry needling on tension-type headaches. Tension-type headaches are commonly associated with myofascial pain syndrome and active myofascial trigger points. The study involved 32 participants who were randomly assigned to either a control group or a dry needling group. The results showed that dry needling led to a reduction in the number of active trigger points and a decrease in headache intensity. The researchers concluded that a single dry needling session in the cranio-cervical area can result in self-perceived improvement in tension-type headache patients. [Extracted from the article] |
