Abstrakt: This article, published in the Arab Journal of Interventional Radiology, explores the use of CT scans as a non-invasive method for assessing hepatic steatosis in potential living liver donors. The study involved 53 patients who underwent CT scans, liver biopsies, and histopathological evaluations. The researchers found that certain CT indices, such as hepatic attenuation value and splenic attenuation value, were effective in diagnosing hepatosteatosis. The study suggests that CT scans can be a useful tool in predicting the presence of hepatosteatosis, potentially avoiding the need for invasive liver biopsies. [Extracted from the article]
