Abstrakt: The document titled "Understanding drivers of post-Ebola syndrome (PES) in pediatric survivors of Ebolavirus disease: characterization and the way forward" discusses the persistent health concerns experienced by pediatric survivors of Ebolavirus disease, known as Post-Ebola Syndrome (PES). The study conducted in Sierra Leone found that pediatric survivors had lower levels of long-term sequelae compared to adolescents and young adults. Symptoms and abnormal physical exam signs increased with age, and there were significant differences in musculoskeletal, psychiatric, ophthalmologic, and gastrointestinal signs and symptoms between the age groups. The study highlights the need for a deeper understanding of age-based differences in PES and the development of targeted treatments. [Extracted from the article]
