Abstrakt: The article titled "Rücktitelbild: Bioinspired Selenium-Nitrogen Exchange (SeNEx) Click Chemistry Suitable for Nanomole-Scale Medicinal Chemistry and Bioconjugation (Angew. Chem. 15/2024)" discusses the concept of selenium-nitrogen exchange (SeNEx) chemistry proposed by Wei Hou, Hongtao Xu, and their colleagues. The authors highlight the efficiency and versatility of SeNEx chemistry in exploring the organo-Se chemical world. The reaction between benzoselenazolones and terminal alkynes is found to exhibit modularity, robustness, mild reaction conditions, and fast kinetics. This chemistry has potential applications in nanomole-scale parallel synthesis, DNA-encoded library synthesis, and peptide and protein bioconjugation. [Extracted from the article]
