Prospects for the development of St. Petersburg as a smart city on the example of introducing modern technologies in its transport system.

Abstrakt: The article describes the current state of St. Petersburg as a smart city on the example of its transport system. The transport system of the city is a very complex and constantly evolving mechanism, therefore, considering the introduction of modern technologies into the transport system, it is possible to determine the prospects for the technological development of the city as a whole, specifically, as a smart city. The ever-growing pace of life in the metropolis, and the consequent and ever-increasing load on the transport system, requires the timely implementation of modern smart city technologies in order to consequently prevent problems arising in the field of transport. The article discusses the concept of a "smart" city and what modern technologies of a "smart" city are being introduced into the transport system of St. Petersburg, then, as an example, the concept of a smart transport system in Singapore, its already operating, implemented solutions, identify the main problems and prospects for the development of the "smart city" concept in general in St. Petersburg.
