Abstrakt: The paper presents the results of a study on the creation of a silicon coating on a polyimide track (nuclear) membrane. The silicon coating was deposited by vacuum magnetron sputtering. The resulting coating was studied by scanning electron microscopy, as well as by X-ray phase analysis. The thickness of the applied ceramic coating on polyimide track membranes is 510 nm. It has been established that the deposition of a silicon coating significantly increases the hydrophilicity of the track membrane. There is a decrease in the contact angle of wetting with distilled water by 27.63%: from 60.91+6.63° to 50.59+7.42°. When measuring the wetting angle of the membrane surface with diiodomethane, the opposite situation is observed - the wetting angle of the membrane surface with diiodomethane decreases by 23.9%: from 40.83±3.96° to 50.59±7.42°. The deposition of a silicon coating on the membrane leads to an increase in the value of the surface energy by 14.36%, and the ratio between the dispersed and polar components changes significantly. Before spraying, the value of the dispersed component of the membrane was 15.85% of the total surface energy, after spraying it increases to 41.32%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
