The effect of heat treatment and the initial structure on the mechanical properties and behavior of the BrNKhK alloy during plastic deformation is considered. The results of studies on the analysis of the relationship between acoustic emission (AE) and the evolution of the defect structure of the alloy are presented. Data are presented showing the effect of pre-aging treatment and the initial structure on the mechanical properties of BrNKhK wire and acoustic emission parameters. Cold plastic deformation (CPD) is widely used in industry as a shaping and hardening technology, and as part of low-temperature thermomechanical processing (LTMP) technologies. Therefore, the analysis of the behavior of structural materials under static tension after hardening treatments is of interest from the point of view of the possibility of refining the processing parameters of alloys in the development of new technologies.
