A planned experiment was carried out; the Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) composite was machined. Different drilling parameters were used. Forces were measured using a measuring track, based on the components of the Kistler 9257B force gauge. Tests were carried out on a DMG DMU50 5-axis machining center. As a result of the experiment, the thrust forces and torque generated in the drilling process were determined, which are a factor that directly affects the energy generated in the system, depending on the applied machining conditions. In addition, the tool, used during the experiment was observed. Optical analysis of the drills was performed using a Keyence VHX-7000 digital stereoscopic microscope. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
