The article is devoted to the study of the effectiveness of the use of ultrasonic emitters in the form of flexural oscillating disks for the destruction of fogs. Four types of radiators were considered, namely with a flat frontal surface, a directional radiator with a step-variable surface, a focusing radiator with a stepped-concave profile of the radiating surface, and a focusing radiator with a stepped-radial profile of the radiating surface. The studies were carried out in a large aerosol chamber with a volume of 250 m3. The fog was generated by ultrasonic atomizers. It has been established that the minimum time required to establish the required metrological visibility range is provided by a directional emitter with a stepped-variable surface that forms a plane wave. A reduction in the time of natural destruction of the fog in the aerosol chamber up to 11.5 times is achieved. As a result of the research the effectiveness of ultrasonic impact on fogs has been proved, as well as the possibility of using it to destroy fogs in open areas. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
