Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at South Valley University in Qena, Egypt compared the use of tunneled and non-tunneled hemodialysis catheters in patients prior to arteriovenous fistula. The study included 50 patients divided into two groups based on the type of catheter used. The results showed that tunneled catheters had fewer complications and better performance characteristics compared to non-tunneled catheters. This research provides valuable insights into the management of renal replacement therapy and vascular access for patients undergoing dialysis. [Extracted from the article]
