A recent study conducted in Zhejiang, China, has found that proteasome activator subunit 3 (PSME3) is highly expressed in gastric cancer (GC) tissues, leading to a worse prognosis for patients. The study aimed to investigate the impact of PSME3 and related regulatory pathways on GC progression. The findings revealed that PSME3 promotes cell growth, migration, and abnormal glycolysis in GC by stimulating the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)/c-myc pathway. The researchers suggest that PSME3 could be a potential target for GC treatment. [Extracted from the article] |
