Researchers at Lishui Central Hospital in Zhejiang, China have published a study on gastric-type endocervical adenocarcinoma (GEA), a rare form of uterine cervical adenocarcinoma. GEA differs from typical cervical cancer and is not associated with the human papillomavirus. The study reports on two cases of GEA in postmenopausal individuals, describing the pathological features and immunophenotypic analysis of the tumors. The research suggests that the infrequency of this tumor type may pose diagnostic challenges. [Extracted from the article] |
