A literature review conducted by researchers at Taibah University in Saudi Arabia explores the prevention, control, and treatment of tobacco addiction. The study examines both pharmacological interventions, such as nicotine replacement therapy and emerging medications, as well as non-pharmacological approaches like health education programs, psychological counseling, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. The review emphasizes the importance of understanding the neurobiology of tobacco addiction and highlights the role of health institutions and government agencies in collaborating to control tobacco use.
