A study conducted at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, examined the clinical outcomes of revision total ankle arthroplasty (TAA) using the INBONE II system. The study found high complication rates but generally fair clinical results for revision TAA. Complications included persistent pain, nerve injury/impingement, infection, fracture, implant failure, impaired wound healing, and osteolysis. The 3-year survivorship rate from reoperation was 92.0%, and the 3-year survivorship rate from major complications was 90.4%. This research provides insights into the use of the INBONE II system for revision TAA. [Extracted from the article] |
