A research case series published in Frontiers in Nutrition suggests that a predominantly raw dietary pattern high in cruciferous vegetables and omega-3 fatty acids may be a potential treatment for autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus and Sjogren's syndrome. The study focused on three women with these conditions who experienced significant improvement in their symptoms after following the nutrition protocol for four weeks. Two of the patients remained symptom-free for over six years without recent medication use. The author of the study, Dr. Brooke Goldner, emphasizes the need for more research into dietary changes as a potential treatment strategy for autoimmune diseases. [Extracted from the article] |
