A recent clinical research study conducted at Vishnu Dental College in Andhra Pradesh, India compared the effectiveness of blue laser and denlase in performing crown lengthening procedures. The study involved 14 patients who were divided into two groups, with one group receiving treatment with blue laser and the other with denlase. The study found that blue laser treatment was more comfortable for patients, as indicated by lower Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores. Both groups demonstrated good wound healing properties based on Wachtel's early wound healing index, with no significant difference between them. However, further comprehensive investigation is needed as literature on blue laser technology is still in its early stages. [Extracted from the article] |
