While the fallout from Pakistan's general election in early February is still playing out, one thing is clear: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, in a surprise move, has emerged as a kingmaker. While he won't hold a position in the new government, he has tapped his brother as a candidate for prime minister and secured the role of chief minister of Punjab Province for his daughter.
