Abstrakt:	Soil is an essential part of the ornamental plant industry because the soil stores a lot of nutrients and microflora, which are very useful for plant growth. However, ordinary people or beginners in the ornamental plant industry sometimes do not understand the type of soil used, so they get less than optimal results in plant maintenance. Thus, this sometimes results in losses and decreased production income. So, to help the layman understand the type of soil that is good for use in the plant industry, this research will help classify the soil. In conducting soil classification, this research uses a method, namely CNN. CNN method is the most effective method in classifying. This paper aims to provide steps for the classification of 5 soil types. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
