Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by the University of North Carolina School of Medicine examined the incidence of sudden cardiac death (SCD) in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The researchers reviewed seven cohort studies from four countries (Cameroon, China, India, and Iran) and found that the incidence of SCD in LMICs may be higher than in high-income countries. However, there was variability in the methods used to identify SCD cases, suggesting the need for standardized diagnostic criteria and methodology. Further research is necessary to better understand the true incidence of SCD in developing countries. [Extracted from the article]
