A new study conducted by researchers at Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang explores factors related to self-management in diabetic patients. The study, which involved 42 diabetic patients, found no significant correlation between age, gender, education level, knowledge level, and participation in chronic disease management programs with self-management of diabetic patients. The researchers concluded that prevention of diabetes complications plays a crucial role in reducing mortality and morbidity in diabetes patients, and self-management is a recommended strategy to improve their quality of life.
