A study conducted by researchers at Aleppo University in Syria assessed the awareness of preeclampsia among pregnant women in the country. The study found that only 52.1% of the participants had heard of preeclampsia. Additionally, the study revealed that participants with a family history of preeclampsia or previous experience with the condition were more likely to have appropriate knowledge about it. The researchers concluded that there is a need to enhance women's understanding of preeclampsia in order to improve pregnancy outcomes, and suggested that education through organizations, media, and national programs could play a significant role in achieving this.
