Abstrakt: A study conducted by researchers at the University of Alberta in Canada examined the effectiveness of group physical exercise in treating major depressive disorder (MDD). The study found that after fourteen weeks of participating in a supervised physical exercise program, patients with MDD showed significant improvement in depression symptoms. The Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-2) and Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation-Outcome Measure (CORE-OM) were used to assess depression, and both scores significantly decreased after the exercise program. The study suggests that exercise may be a helpful adjunctive therapy for depressed patients. [Extracted from the article]
