Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Iran examined the relationship between carbohydrate intake and the odds of overweight and obesity in Iranian adolescents. The study found that there was an inverse relationship between the quantity and quality of carbohydrate intake and the likelihood of being overweight or obese. The research suggests that improving the quality of carbohydrate intake may be beneficial in reducing the prevalence of obesity among Iranian adolescents.
