A recent study conducted at Cork University Hospital in Ireland has reported a case of a young male patient who presented to the Emergency Department with severe respiratory compromise. The patient experienced a respiratory arrest shortly after arrival and was diagnosed with Pulmonary Langerhans Cell Histocystosis (PLCH) after further investigations. This case is notable as it is the first reported presentation of bilateral simultaneous pneumothoraces in a patient with PLCH.
