Abstrakt: | A recent study conducted by researchers at the Catholic University of Korea examined the factors that affect complete remission (CR) in patients with gastric MALT lymphoma. The study found that the presence of the t(11:18) chromosomal translocation and Helicobacter pylori negativity were both risk factors for failure to achieve CR with H. pylori eradication therapy as the first line of treatment. The research suggests that additional radiotherapy may be necessary for patients with H. pylori-negative gastric MALT lymphoma and the t(11:18) translocation. This study provides new insights into the treatment and management of gastric MALT lymphoma in Koreans. [Extracted from the article] |
