A recent study conducted at Copenhagen University Hospital explored the management of groin hernias in adolescents. The study found that there is a lack of consensus and uniformity among surgeons in their approach to treating these hernias. Some surgeons opt for sutured repairs to avoid mesh-related complications in adolescents who are still growing, while others employ a watchful waiting strategy until the adolescents are fully grown.
