A recent study conducted at Kyung Hee University in South Korea has explored the potential of miRNA-based therapy in regulating melanogenesis, the process of melanocyte pigmentation. The study found that exosomes derived from UVB-irradiated keratinocytes can influence melanogenesis in melanocytes by encapsulating specific miRNAs. Some miRNAs were found to enhance melanogenesis, while others inhibited it. This research highlights the role of exosomal miRNAs in melanogenesis regulation and suggests their potential as regulators of melanogenesis in response to UVB irradiation. The study also emphasizes the significance of exosomes in the pigmentation process of melanocytes. [Extracted from the article] |
