Abstrakt: | A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln explored the relationship between early childhood educator (ECE) post-traumatic growth and young children's executive function (EF). The study found that while adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) among ECEs were not significantly related to children's EF scores, higher levels of post-traumatic growth were associated with fewer parent-reported EF difficulties in children. The researchers suggest that ECEs may draw on their coping skills developed through adversity to model and promote healthy EF in children, and that mental health supports for ECEs could contribute to positive early childhood environments that nurture well-being and resilience.
