A recent study conducted by researchers at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine has found that anisocoria, a condition characterized by unequal pupil size, can be caused by the use of a medication called Qbrexza, which is used to treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). The researchers emphasize the importance of non-ophthalmologist physicians being aware of this potential cause of anisocoria in order to reduce unnecessary testing and costs. They also suggest that physician education on the safe usage of Qbrexza can be provided. This information is particularly relevant for primary care physicians who may encounter patients with anisocoria. [Extracted from the article] |
