Abstrakt: Marie Watt, an artist from the Seneca Nation of Indians, is currently featured in two solo exhibitions. The first exhibition, "Storywork: The Prints of Marie Watt," is on view at Print Center New York until May 18. This exhibition showcases Watt's printmaking alongside her textile work and sculptures. The second exhibition, "Marie Watt: Land Stitches Water Sky," is at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh until September 22. In this installation, Watt explores new materials and collaboration, incorporating steel I beams and glass to connect the city's history, Indigenous perspectives, and Haudenosaunee ironworkers. Watt's work emphasizes uncovering histories and exploring the boundaries between different concepts. [Extracted from the article]
