Cementing technology is crucial to the development of oil and gas resources, and the quality of cement slurry required is an important factor affecting the cementing effect. Previous studies ignored mixing speed effect on cement slurry quality. CFD numerical model is established to simulate the flow filed of the agitated slurry tank under various operation and structural parameters. The multiphase flow model and the k-ε turbulence model are used to describe the turbulence characteristics in the agitated slurry tank. The multiple reference frame (MRF) model is used to realize the rotation of the area near the stirring blade. The results indicate that the density of the cement slurry in the agitated slurry tank can finally reach a stable state, and the concentration distribution is uniform. Increasing the rotational speed, the stirring time needed to achieve stability becomes shorter, and the uniformity of the cement slurry will also be improved. Reducing the distance between the impeller and the bottom of the agitated slurry tank, the mixing effect can be improved. It provides certain theoretical guidance for the practical application of this agitated slurry tank and has certain reference significance for research on improving the quality of cement slurry required for cementing.
