Abstrakt: This study explains the synthesis of 1,3-dithiolane and benzothiazolo-[2,3-b]-quinazolin-1-one derivatives employing DABCO-based ionic liquids as a facile, sustainable, and recyclable catalyst. FT-IR, NMR, and mass spectrometry were used to characterize synthetic compounds. The current approach displays a number of advantages, including an affordable and environmentally friendly catalyst, green solvent media, a reduced reaction time, good to exceptional product yields, and recyclability of the ionic liquid for subsequent reactions without a significant loss in activity.
