The article "Insights into clinical pharmacy practice in Latin America" by Zavaleta‐Monestel et al. provides an overview of clinical pharmacy practice in Latin American countries. However, there are some inaccuracies in the article regarding clinical pharmacy practice in Peru. The authors mention that a specialized training model was proposed in 1997, but clinical pharmacy training in clinical settings actually began in 1982 through an agreement between the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM) and the Peruvian National Police Hospital (HPNP). The authors also mention that pharmaceutical care in Peru began in 1999, but the first clinical pharmacy service was actually created in Peru in 1997 at the HPNP. The article does not mention the creation of Clinical Pharmacy Services in other Peruvian hospitals in recent years, nor does it mention the Peruvian Society of Clinical Pharmacy, which has been contributing to the training of specialists and collaborating with the Medicine Regulatory Authority since 2010.
