Abstrakt: The article explores the issue of race-based peremptory challenges in jury selection and the efforts of several states, including Washington, California, and Arizona, to address this problem. It discusses the limitations of the Batson test and examines the different approaches taken by these states to eliminate discriminatory peremptory challenges, either through rule changes, legislation, or complete elimination of peremptory challenges.
