Abstrakt: A study conducted at Tangdu Hospital in Xi'an, China aimed to explore the risk factors for hemorrhage in patients with a history of aspirin use who underwent emergency external ventricular drainage (EVD) or intracranial pressure (ICP) probe placement. The study found that patients with long-term aspirin therapy, a platelet AA pathway inhibition rate of 75%, and a systolic blood pressure (SBP) of 125 mmHg during the procedure had a significantly higher risk of hemorrhage. Adjusting the SBP to below 125 mmHg could reduce the risk of hemorrhage in these patients. The study highlights the importance of managing risk factors to prevent hemorrhage in patients undergoing these procedures. [Extracted from the article]
