Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences in Tanzania examined the use of contraceptives among male adolescents in rural secondary schools. The study found that teenage pregnancy is a significant concern in Tanzania, and low utilization of contraceptive methods among adolescents is a key factor contributing to this issue. The researchers suggest that involving male adolescents in sexual and reproductive health programs can increase contraceptive use and prevent teenage pregnancy. Factors associated with contraceptive use among male students included adequate knowledge of contraceptives, attending private schools, and being in a relationship. The study highlights the importance of age-tailored comprehensive sexual and reproductive health education and involving males in pregnancy prevention programs. [Extracted from the article]
