This article discusses the potential use of the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) as a diagnostic marker for predicting early-stage diabetic nephropathy in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM). The study found a correlation between NLR and microalbuminuria, suggesting that NLR could be used to assess the onset and progression of diabetic nephropathy. The article also mentions other studies that have explored the use of NLR as a diagnostic marker for various complications of DM.
