Abstrakt: This article discusses the synthesis and evaluation of the anti-hepatitis B virus (HBV) activity of novel nucleoside derivatives. Hepatitis B is a prevalent viral disease that affects millions of people worldwide and can lead to chronic disease and liver cancer. The article describes the synthesis of a 2'-deoxy-4'-thioguanosine derivative with a cyano group at the 4'-position, which exhibited significantly more potent anti-HBV activity than the parent nucleoside. This finding could guide the development of new anti-HBV agents. [Extracted from the article]
