Abstrakt: This article discusses the synthesis of α-l-threofuranosyl guanosine 3'-triphosphate (tGTP), which is an important building block for the construction of artificial genetic polymers. The traditional method for synthesizing tGTP involves a laborious and time-consuming process. However, the authors propose an alternative synthetic route using commercially available 6-chloropurine-2-amine, which simplifies the synthesis and reduces the use of hazardous solvents. The authors also compare two different methods for preparing tGTP nucleotides and conclude that the pyrene pyrophosphate approach is preferred due to its fewer synthetic steps. This improved approach could be advantageous for the large-scale synthesis of guanosine nucleosides. [Extracted from the article]
