Abstrakt: |
This article discusses a survey conducted among medical students in the tribal area of Chhattisgarh, India, to evaluate the prevalence and reasons behind substance abuse. The study found that 53.5% of MBBS students reported substance abuse, with alcohol being the most commonly abused substance (43.4%), followed by tobacco products (31.3%). The study also revealed that 47.5% of substance abusers expressed a desire to quit in the future. The results of this study may help inform policymakers and contribute to efforts aimed at preventing substance abuse among medical students. [Extracted from the article] |
