Abstrakt: This article discusses a study that examined potential biomarkers for assessing bone health in apparently healthy adults. The study focused on Vitamin D, Vitamin D binding protein (VDBP), and bone-specific alkaline phosphatase (BALP) as markers for overall bone turnover. The study found that the participants had low levels of serum vitamin D and VDBP, and increased BALP levels. The researchers suggest that these biomarkers could be used to assess bone health and emphasize the importance of public health education on the role of vitamin D in maintaining bone health.
