Abstrakt: The article discusses a study that investigated the effectiveness of different biocontrol agents and botanical extracts against Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae, the bacteria responsible for bacterial blight in rice. The study found that Bacillus subtilis and Pseudomonas fluorescens were effective in inhibiting the growth of the bacteria, while garlic extract showed the highest inhibitory effect. Other botanical extracts, such as tulsi and neem, also demonstrated effectiveness. These findings are consistent with previous research and provide valuable insights for managing bacterial blight in rice, particularly for farmers in Gujarat. [Extracted from the article]
