A recent study conducted at Cochin Hospital in Paris, France, explored the potential benefits of using artificial intelligence (AI) to assist radiologists in detecting abnormalities on chest radiographs. The study involved 500 patients who underwent both chest radiography and thoracic CT scans. The results showed that the use of AI resulted in increased sensitivity for all radiologists, reduced reading times, and increased specificity for most abnormalities, except for pneumothorax. The findings suggest that AI-assisted chest radiography interpretation can improve radiologist performance. [Extracted from the article] |
